An "AMG" That Floats

Mercedes Benz has always been a car company full of innovation and design. The current SLS Gullwing is a perfect example of this. It looks outrageous and the amount of power it churns out is staggering for a naturally aspirated v8. The engineers at “AMG” are among the best in the business at what they do, and recently they teamed up with another industry best. Cigarette Powerboats are some of the finest, most thoroughly designed craft in the world. They are the Mercedes Benz “AMG” of the water. Much like “AMG”, Cigarette is a no compromise company that is focused on one thing, speed. The two companies teamed up to create a powerboat unlike any other, an “AMG”. They were working for two years on this boat and last summer it went on sale. Much like the SLS it has mind boggling numbers, 2700 hp from two supercharged Mercury racing engines and the price…$1,200,000. That will get you six SLS super cars. If you haven’t guessed, it’s fast too. Said to reach around 130 mph, which may not seem like much on land but on water is a whole different story. The new Cigarette 46-foot “AMG” features hand-applied “AMG” Alubem silver paint, the same color offered on the Gullwing. This process, used exclusively by “AMG”, covers surfaces like a metallic skin to highlight the body's stunning lines. Designo Mystic white metallic paint is also used on the boat's exterior. Quite an impressive machine for those “AMG” lovers to run up and down the coast in. This boat even sounds better than the SLS.
