Jaguar XK

The Jaguar XK has started to become one of the best looking coupes on the market today. It's been in the last year or so with the introduction of the XKR that we see a machine that is capable of taking on many of the world's super sports cars. Jaguar's over the years have never been particularly good looking cars but the three most recent models in their lineup, the XJ, the XF and the XK have given Jag a whole new hairstyle. These cars look fantastic and are now competing with the equivalent Bimmers and Mercs like they should've been all along. The XKR is something that really interests me. A friend of mine turned me on to it, its Aston Martin pretty and Aston Martin powerful. But best of all, it doesn't have the Aston Martin price tag. If you look in comparison, you can buy the best XK for half of what you pay for an Aston DB9. And when you get down to it, the Aston isn't twice as good. You're paying for the badge but now the Jaguar badge might be just as cool. The XKR-S is really something special. It costs about the same as a V8 Vantage but will blow it out of the water in terms of performance. So really this comes back to the question of why buy the Aston? It's more money, slower and about the same in terms of beauty. I know you'll be saying "But it's still not an Aston Martin" and you'd be right, but it's pretty damn close.
